Our prayers are powerful and effective! They change nations and shift atmospheres! Our prayers extend the Kingdom of God on the earth!

These three statements are very powerful truths that every believer should hold onto. If every one of us believed these three things to be true then our prayer lives would probably change dramatically and we would be willing to go anywhere or do anything for the Lord no matter the cost. Trials and hardships in our own lives and all around the world would not look as scary or disheartening because of how grounded we were in the truth that Papa will hear our prayers.

I bet most of us remember singing and doing the hand motions to this song when we were little. I know I remember singing it and meaning it with everything I had in my heart. There was no way that anyone was going to put out my light and I was going to show the world who God was by this little light. Wow! What faith we have as young children; we believe God can do anything and we don’t understand why anyone would believe differently.

This week at Breakthrough 45, the Lord has taken us back to a place of child-like faith, where we can fully believe for the light of God to shine into and transform Muslim countries. This week the Lord has been teaching us about our authority as His sons and daughters. Each night we were given a new piece of that identity and were able to recognize the lies that were keeping us from it. Papa started by again going to those deep places in our hearts and healing wounds that kept us from believing that He is our protector. Not believing that Papa is our protector keeps Him from being able to encounter every part of our hearts because we have closed off areas out of pain. This past week at Breakthrough 45, we have continued in the same stream of going to the core with Abba and watching how that turns our hearts towards prayer for a move of God on the earth. We have been going after deeper levels of trust and intimacy with our Papa and He has been releasing healing in all areas of our lives. There has been surrender of burdens and hearts stirred to contend for those closest to us. There is freedom in believing who God says He is and what He wants to do in our own lives.

Everyone has a story that is unique to them, no story is the same and it guides them on this journey that is life. When Papa created us He did so with purpose and destiny in mind and was so excited for us to discover pieces of this throughout our whole life. Day by day our story unfolds and you start to see how each situation builds on the next. Whether good or bad, Papa can use them to push us towards our destiny.

The Lord’s name is a promise to all generations.

Start speaking out all the names of the Lord that you know and claim them for your own life. Each one of His names speaks of a promise to the ones that love Him. He doesn’t just call Himself provider and not provide, or a God of love and not pour forth love. These names are His character and nature, it is impossible for Papa to be anything other than true to every single one of His names. We can hold tight to these promises and let them bring us hope in every situation.

When praying for the nations it has been so important to know the character and nature of God because it helps guide and direct our prayers. Knowing that Papa’s banner over us is love really puts praying for a harvest in perspective because He loves everyone unconditionally and His heart breaks for them. Our God is a breakthrough God!

As we entered these 45 days, God gave us a theme of breakthrough in the nations coming from a breakthrough within our own hearts. He has taken us deep into our identities as His children and last night burst forth into a passion for the Middle East!

Countries were called out by name and God was clearly putting a new burning in our hearts for this part of the world. As we prayed for laborers, we were gripped with hope for what is often considered hard soil. No soil is too hard for Him! There is no darkness too dark! We know that He is winning!

During the second night of Breakthrough 45, the Father made it clear that it was His desire to first take us deep in our identities as His children. In Psalms 2:7, God calls us His children and from there He tells us to ask for the nations. As we become vulnerable before the Father and surrender our fears, we start to walk in our identities and we can step out to receive the Kingdom.

We saw this happening over the course of the night as God was speaking out truth over every individual, declaring “You are forgiven!”, “You are my son and my daughter!”, “I love you and created you for a purpose!” There was no hiding the freedom in the room, as individuals were grabbing hold of the truth about who they are and standing firm in their God-given identity.
